Looking for:  Anyone that served with my dad. He is deceased, but I am looking to do some history on the war! He was drafted in 69 and served 69-70. (Discharged April 71). I believe he went to fort benning for basic - and when arrived in VN, it was Chu Lai. He was with the 198th LIB, American Division. C 1/6. Looking for:  Anyone with information.  I was at LZ Bronco 1969-70 with MACV in charge of he air terminal.  I stayed in a large tent next to the terminal.  A civilian named Paul (an Asian) stayed there from time to time.  A while back I placed a message in the Americal blog asking if anyone remembered me.  One bro, I think his name was Steve, replied that he was a medic and remembered me.  He said that something funny happened but I cannot remember if it was at Bronco or at Chu Lai. Looking for: Dennis Wriston to determine if he is the same person that knew Sgt. Larrie Allen who was murdered by another soldier on August 22, 1970 in Vietnam. Larrie and I are high school classmates and I am helping his sisters locate the name of the soldier who killed Larrie and/or someone that knows of the circumstances surrounding the murder.  Looking for: Information on a boobytrap incident that happened on April 23, 1971. I was there with the 59th IPSD (Infantry Platoon Scout Dog. My lieutenant, the dog handler, and the dog were KIA. Looking for:  Anyone who served with me.  My name is Denver Dudley. I was a Lieutenant in the Finance Office at Chu Lai from July 1968 to July 1969.  I was Cash Control Officer for much of my time there. We made monthly money pickup runs to DaNang, then took choppers out in the field to deliver the MPC to the troops. Looking for anyone who served with me.  I found one enlisted man.  I discovered that Lt. Robert  Patera is now deceased. I remember some names : Lt. Blake(James?), Lt Jim Tyrer. Another Lt with a Polish sounding last name(I think Mickey something) He left shortly after I got there.  There was another Lt. Who cut his chin wide open while rushing into a bunker during a rocket attack. Lots of stitches. A Captain Ohta(?)
Some enlisted : West from New York I think. Skinny guy with a mustache who ate raw hamburger meat for lunch.  A black warrant officer. Looking for:  Help to find Captain Jones (no first name regrettably).  He was wounded (shrapnel in the chest) on 13 June 1970 near Trung Tin.  He was in the Americal Division, 196th Infantry Brigade, C Company.  I do not find him listed on “The Wall”, nor is his name in the list of Purple Heart recipients.   He was from Louisiana.  Contact:  Carol Eicher, This email address is being protected from spambots. Looking for: Anyone who may have known my great uncle or would know how to find out information about him. Tommy Garrett never came home. My grandfather told me that Tommy and a group of other soldiers were on an island and went into the jungle for some reason. Apparently, only one of them returned and said something about being attacked. When everyone went into the jungle to find them, there was no trace of them. Looking for: Americal veterans- D/1/14 Arty or 1/52 Inf.  I was in Delta Battery, 1/14 Artillery Bn Nov 1970 to Nov 1971.  I was a forward observer for Delta Co 1/52 Inf Bn from Nov til April or May.  I was then a battery Executive Officer go a month or so & then Bn Liaison officer with 1/52 Inf. Bn.  My last field assignment was again as an Executive officer with a section of guns that closed out fire bases at TraBong, LZ Dottie, LZ Snoopy & LZ Dragon.  I was then assigned as ass't S4 working with Capt. Looking for: veterans who went through the Americal Combat Center in Chu Lai.  My name is Rollie Berube. I was a cook at the Americal Combat Center on the beach in Chu Lai from March 69' to October 70. I would be thrilled to hear from anybody that can relate to my unit. We, at the Combat Center gave " In Country Training " for about 7 days to new arrivals from the States. Battalion 46th. infantry regiment, 198th Infantry Brigade Echo company RECON from June 1970 to June 1971 and would like to know if any of my team are still around. Looking for: an unnamed veteran.  I am the Adjutant of my American Legion post. I received a letter asking for information on a veteran from someone doing a history on the Korean and Vietnam Wars. All I have is that a vet was from Gardiner, Maine, was in Delta Co., 4th Battalion, 21st Infantry, Americal Division, and that he was in country from July 1968 thru May 1969.
