2018 Annual Reunion Announced
PNC Ronald Ellis announced tentative plans for the 2018 ADVA annual reunion in Oklahoma City, OK. Ron says, “We will do a city tour of OKC on Thursday. This will tentatively include the Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial, National Western Heritage Museum, and the 45th Infantry Division Museum. “On Friday we will go by tour bus to Ft. Sill for a firepower demonstration by US Army. Lunch with the troops at Guns and Rockets Dining Facility. After lunch we will tour the Artillery Museum and closing with annual memorial service at the new Americal Artillery memorial.

Oklahoma City is home to the 45th Infantry Division museum. This top notch military museum features indoor exhibits plus a collection of almost 100 vehicles and aircraft positioned on the museum grounds. The 45th division is Oklahoma's national guard unit and fought in Europe during World War II. It had the distinction of capturing Hitler's Eagle's Nest in the Bavarian Alps at the end of the war.
The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is located in the heart of downtown. It honors the memory of the 168 Americans killed on April 19, 1995 in the bombing of Oklahoma City’s Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The memorial is located on the site of the destroyed building and is a somber reflection of that tragic day.
