Contributing to The ADVA
The Americal Division Veterans Association is a not-for-profit
war veterans organization as defined by Paragraph 503(c)19 of the Internal Revenue
Service code. The ADVA is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Donations to ADVA are tax deductible. Written
documentation of not-for-profit status and receipts for gifts can be
provided by the ADVA National Finance
Officer. The chief means of funding the association is through member dues,
income on investments, and free will donations. Member dues cover only a part of the annual operating costs. The chief expenses of the association are the quarterly newsletter and the annual reunions. Cash donations can be made in the form of a memorial to former member
of the Americal Division. Donations can be made to the general fund or
the the scholarship fund. A certain portion of
the scholarship fund is retained as an endowment for future awards.
Individuals may provide for a financial gift to the association through
estate planning. The Americal Division Veterans Association has no paid employees and
makes no political endorsements or contributions. The administration and
leadership of the association is by officers and board members who are
