Very Good. Although I was a MACV Advisor, I worked extensively with 1/52 from LZ Stinson in the "Fish-Hook" and "Horse shoe" area of Song Tra Kuc river. My little team worked out of the SF camp A-104. I would be very interested in hearing from anyone from that time who may have worked the same... thank you

Chu Lai Tower, Slow-motion 2 ............. Freak Out.

Hey John Allen, Minuteman 22, are you out there ?

I think that you have a great website. It is filled with a great deal of information about the Americal. I served in the 182nd Infantry in the Massachusetts National Guard, so I must defend its representation on your site. The 182 is the Nation's oldest Army unit having started on 7 October 1636. During its long term of service, it has fought for both England and the United States. On its regimental crest the Americal Division patch sits proudly in the left corner, representing the regiment's service with the Americal during WWII. I have read most of the information in your site and noted that the 182's service to the Americal is just glossed over. I would like to see more about the regiment please. The unit has its own website (http://members.aol.com/mech182/main.htm) so perhaps you could link it to your site. I was not born during WWII, but the "oldtimers" in the 182 always played up the regiment's pacific history of which they were very proud. Not mentioned in ! your unit history was that the current co B 1/182 won the army presidential unit citation for its outstanding service in the fighting at Bougainville, that is unusual, since company size elements do not often get such a high award. The 182 still exists in the area it has traditionally been from in Massachusetts. some families can trace their relatives going back to when the regiment was known as the 5th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Please include more of this fine unit in your website. Thank you, and keep the faith!

Flew frog and hog during kham duc festivities, shot in foot near tam ky during tet 68. Father was assigned to MCB 40 & 41 during same time period. Flew him in my C-model many times, of course would like to talk to anyone who was supported by Musket# 10.

Still hanging in there 125th qm 1941-1945

good page

Yours is the first glimmer of hope I hang onto for the first time in my 3-year search for a loved one. If and when I find him, you will know about it. Keep up the good work!

I sometimes wonder how many of the WWII oldies are into this Internet thing. Your ADVA Locator pages will surely find out. I am amazed at the prompt and efficient way you are able to handle the many requests for information. Your Staff of helpers surely deserve a lot of credit. All of the efforts are appreciated far beyond your expectations. Many thanks and my sincerest appreciation.

I think that every thing is really great. I love to stop by and sign in when I can.

How do I go about receiving an Americal Division Veterans Association patch?

Great page, I've made contact with one person and wondering who else is out there that I remembe.r

I posted a locator request in mid-Jan 98 and have had great success so far. In touch with several members of my Bn.Thanks much.Tried to utilize form to tell you but was not able to bring it up on computer.Message posted 17 Jan 98 in the 3/1Bn section. Looking for Capt. Willie Williams. Message ID 19980117.104315.I intend to put in a new request. Thanks again

Glad to see you on the Web.

I found this site for my father, his info is at the top (4/21 Inf. 11th Brigade). He had found some info in Vietnam Veteran magazine and started telling me more than he had ever before. So, I found your site and thought he'd enjoy seeing his old division is still remembered. When I was active very rarely did you see anyone with the old Americal patch on his right shoulder. Actually I only remember one, and he was a doctor at Ft. Hood. Thanks, and I know he'll appreciate this. Thomas S. McChristian, Specialist, USAR

Just checking in for the first time. I was wondering why the 196th is so promanent (that's fine), but no button for the 198th Bde. I was a platoon leader in Chu Lai and DaNang with both brigades - one hell of a great bunch of guys in both units. Goodby for now - Don.

I just got this comp.its great to see this pop up

Interesting but does not take the place of newsletter

Great web page. I have found a few of the guys in my unit. Lookin for one in particular, Dave Mann. If anyone knows how I could get in touch please let me know.

Thank you for your services, as they have been instrumnetal in helping us locate one another again, after so many years. We had campout reuniion of old grunts from the 1/52 in Mass in June, 1997, which started as a result of contacts from the locator service. We had 11 then, and since that time have added more brothers and now are planning another reunion in Maine for June 1998, and the mailing list has grown to over 50-keep up the good work, as the brotherhood is fabulours!

Anyone who knew me please write or e-mail me.

Great job, men. Keep up the good work. Is there a way to fine someone without posting? Do you have s listing to search? Thanks again !

I think this website is a GREAT idea, do you have a list of personel for this time period, (Mar, 1966-Jul 1967)? Thank you for remembering us. J.S. Dippel, M/Sgt. Ret. 1968

THE ADVA LOOKS GREAT

I've been meeting a lot of our Americal brothers all around the state of Maine. I hope I will find some onld ones on this site.

We're planning a reunion for Medics of the 198th Infantry Brigade in Washington DC on July 17, 18,19 1998. We're researching the patch for the 198th. Does anyone have a copy of it?

I'm real glad that I've found you on the net and someday, I'll join your group. Ron Davis Has been a great help!

Thanks to all who gave so much physically, emotionally, psychology and spiritually in our hours of darkness and light. As a CO ("C" Company 1/52 198th LIB) of one of the best damned outfits a man could walk into the very gates of hell with; I salute you all. The 198th and all the others gave the U.S. a Division to be proud of. Again, thank you all for what you did over there. LET NONE OF US EVER FORGET THOSE WE LEFT BEHIND. Let all of us help to maake sure that our youth is never again wasted. Let everyone of us that still have life in our bodies do everything we can to help each other in our time of need. To all those I served with, I SALUTE YOU.

A site to visit again and again! Thank you for providing the Locator with such a terrific search feature. Am looking forward to hearing from others who served on the USNS Corpus Christi Bay and sharing our success online. Check out the Locator!
