April 1996

Nice web page...

Looks good.

Just came accross you on the net. Assigned Aug 1968 to Aug 1969

Would like to become a member. I served with the AMERICAL from 8/70 - 8/71 at Duc Pho. I was with the 6/11FA in the BN FDC.

I haven't had a chance to look around yet, but I'm sure there's some interesting stuff here. Thanks for your good work.

Great job! Keep the spirit alive. 'CAN DO' 3rd Infantry Div.

Americal Web page is an excellent idea! I have been active on Prodigy Veteran/Army/Americal until recently and hope to check in here frequently. I intend to join the Association shortly as well.

I was with the 198th L.I.B. , L.Z. Bayonet Jan.- Dec. 70. I would like to join your organization. I am glad to see the Southern Cross on the web, it renews my pride. Thank you.

I was with Co. B 3/21 INF 196 BDE Sep 1970 to Sep 1971.

I just found you I will probably join. I was chief of Counter-intelligence, 196th Bde, LZ Hawk Hill, Americal Division, from Nov. 1969 to June 1971. I was also with the Brigade when we moved to DaNang.

This is a wonderful resource and a great service. I was with 4/31/196 from 5/68 to 5/69.

Just came across you on the net. Assigned Aug 1968 to Aug 1969.

I would like to say that it is an honor to be a part of the Americal Division and this web site. I think that you have done a marvelous job of providing this informative and up to date material for us vets to use. Thank you very much and I pray God blesses this mission greatly. So keep up the good work and I hope I will be able to contribute something to the mission. I have a hundred and twenty slides of the Duc Pho, Chu Lai and bush. I was point man with a dog (59th Scout Dogs Platoon 11th Brigade, Americal Division Chu Lai, 40 klicks south at Duc Pho).

Keep up the good work!

E Co 2/1 196th LIB Americal. A long time gone but not forgotten.

I was a SP4 64H20 attached to HQ&A 723 Maint. Bn, Chu Lai, late Nov. 1970 to April 1971. Been surfing the Net to find sites about the 23d, 4th, and the Big Red One... this is the best so far! Thanks for all your dedication and hard work. SP5 Peter L. Bate 298464218

Nice seeing you guys on the Net. Dutch DeGroot: Sorry I stayed out of touch so long, I had to find a new job. I will contact you soon (I hope). Roger from Belgium

Great page!! As a life member I really appreciate the professional job you've done. You might want to add a portion that lists the awards by unit and time frames they applied to for former members to check. I believe the Army Awards Branch could get those for you fairly easily. You have their address at the end of the Combat Infantryman's page. Keep up the good work. I particularily like your page to help link veterans together. Thanks for a great effort. Be sure to keep advertizing it in the Newsletter. LARS E. LARSON, Colonel Retired, Americal Div: (Platoon Leader, A Co, 1/6 Inf, 198 Bde, Mar 71) (Company Commander, B Co, 1/6 Inf, April 71 - Oct 71) (Officer In Charge, 196 Infantry Bde Combat Center, DaNang, !Oct 71 -Jan 72)

I think you all are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

EXCELLENT!
